Client-Provided Stones

Should a client desire to utilise a pre-owned stone, they are required to submit comprehensive details such as stone type, carat weight and current mounting as well as photographs of the stones.

The client acknowledges that there is an inherent risk associated with removing stones from their mountings and resetting them. Thistledown Wishes bears the responsibility of evaluating any risks pertaining to the stone and advising the client of any foreseeable issues prior to proceeding with the resetting process. By granting consent for Thistledown Wishes to reset a pre-existing gemstone, the client agrees to hold Thistledown Wishes harmless against any damage to the stone resulting from pre-existing flaws, cracks, chipping, or inclusions.

Should a client elect to use their own stones and ship them directly to Thistledown Wishes, the client will be responsible for selecting a shipping carrier, negotiating rates and shipping terms, and remitting payment directly to the shipping provider. Clients are strongly encouraged to purchase shipping insurance and are reminded that Thistledown Wishes will not procure shipping insurance on their behalf. The client assumes full liability for the shipment and agrees to hold Thistledown Wishes and its agents harmless against any claims for loss or damage. Any claims for lost or damaged shipments will be the sole responsibility of the client.

Design Fee

Depending on the style of the custom order a design fee may be charged.  This will be applied towards the final purchase.

Deposit

Once the final quote has been accepted, sixty percent (60%) of the remaining payment will be due as the first instalment. This payment is agreement to allow production of the custom piece to begin.  The remaining balance will be required on completion of the piece and before the final piece can be shipped.

Cancellation

If an order is cancelled once the custom order production has begun, the client agrees to cover any non-recoverable costs and the design fee.

Returns

Custom-designed pieces are non-returnable.
