This unique botanical Scottish gemstone pendant has been created using recycled sterling silver with 24 kt gold foil and a beautiful Lewisian Gneiss gemstone. It's amazing that this gemstone is 3000 million years old and is the oldest stone found in Scotland. It can be found on the Scottish Hebridean islands such as the Isle of Lewis and is believed to encourage the wearer to believe in magic!!
I have added little handmade silver flowers and leaves to the side of the gemstone, the shape of these flowers was inspired by the Scottish primrose that is found natively in a small area of North Scotland. The centres of the flowers have gold foil applied to them using the ancient technique of Keum Boo.
The dimensions of the stone are 18 x 13 mm and the dimensions of the pendant are 36 x 20 mm (including leaves). You can select the chain length that you would like and please contact me your choice is not listed.
The necklace has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office and it will be delivered gift wrapped. Other pieces of Scottish gemstone jewellery are also available from Thistledown Wishes.
