This freshwater pearl ring is the perfect gift for a star gazer or for a pearl wedding anniversary.  It would also make a great gift for a June birthday as pearl is the birthstone for June.

 

I have handmade this ring by setting the freshwater pearl in a high sided sterling silver bezel onto which I have soldered four little silver stars. The pearl is attached to a wide sterling silver band with a width of 5mm.  From the bottom of the bezel to the top of the pearl measures 10 mm.  The surface of the bezel has been darkened by applying a patina which enhances the stars. The surface of the band is matt which I feel adds to the shine of the stars.
