This unique black and gold keum boo ring has been handmade from recycled sterling silver and 24 kt gold foil. It's an unusual piece with a domed oval of silver sitting on top of the ring band.
Keum boo is an ancient Korean where sterling silver is reticulated to create an uneven rippled surface to the silver. To this silver I then apply 24 kt gold foil to create an organic pattern. The silver has been blackened with a patina which contrasts beautifully with the gold.
