This unique gemstone necklace has been handmade in Scotland using recycled sterling silver and a Scottish gemstone. The beautiful Lewisian Gneiss gemstone that I have chosen for this necklace is believed to encourage the wearer to believe in magic, it is 3000 million years old and is the oldest stone type in Scotland. It is found on the Scottish Hebridean islands off the West coast of Scotland.
The silver flower at the top of the pendant is inspired by the Scottish primrose and its heart shaped petals which can only be natively found in the very North of Scotland. The gold in the centre of the flower is 24 kt gold foil and is applied using the ancient technique of Keum Boo. You can select your chain length from the menu.
The stone length is 36 mm and the dimensions of the pendant are 52 x 27 mm.
This Scottish gemstone necklace would make a wonderful gift for a nature lover or as an anniversary gift or milestone birthday. It has been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office and will be delivered gift wrapped. Other pieces of Scottish gemstone jewellery are also available from Thistledown Wishes.
